Connecting Good People & Good Causes

A quiet practice of
intentional connection

Two Coffees and a Beer is a Brisbane grassroots initiative built on a simple idea — the most meaningful change happens one honest conversation at a time.

Not a movement. A practice.

Two Coffees and a Beer doesn't have a head office, a hashtag campaign, or a five-year strategic plan. It's something simpler — a quiet cultural practice that spreads the way good things always do: person to person, without fanfare.

The name says it all. Two coffees: one for the morning conversation that opens a door. And a beer — the kind of conversation that happens when the guard comes down and something real gets said. Together they represent the full arc of human connection: the tentative start and the honest depth.

Somewhere in that space, good people meet good causes. And ripples happen.

We bring together three groups: Good Causes in Brisbane that could benefit from a little extra help. Good People in Brisbane who have time and talent to give. And Good People anywhere who want to make a real difference with the money they donate.

Three things worth holding onto

Connection is the cause

Before anything else can happen — the volunteering, the donation, the introduction — two people have to actually connect. That's where everything starts. We take that seriously.

🍺

Depth over scale

We're not trying to reach a million people. We're trying to reach the right people — and help them reach each other. A few genuine connections beat a thousand shallow ones every time.

Ripple, don't broadcast

Good things spread without being pushed. Two Coffees and a Beer grows because people experience it and naturally pass it on — not because of a marketing campaign.

"The most meaningful change happens one honest conversation at a time."
  1. Start with a coffeeReach out to someone — a neighbour, a colleague, someone doing good work you admire. Suggest a coffee. Keep it low-stakes.

  2. Follow it with anotherIf the first one sparked something, go deeper. Bring in someone else. Let the connection widen naturally.

  3. Maybe end with a beerThat's where the honest conversation lives. The idea that's been sitting in the back of someone's mind. The cause that needs a champion. The introduction that changes something.

  4. Let it rippleDon't force it. Just let people carry the spirit of it forward in their own way. That's how this grows.
